Lydia Kovatcheva And The Simple Timeless Principles Of Nature

Interview of Health Center Vita Rama with Dr. Georgi Gaydurkov and Georgi Slavov - students, assistants and consultants of Lydia Kovatcheva

1. Tell us when and how you met Lydia Kovatcheva?

Dr. Georgi Gaydurkov: I met Lydia Kovatcheva in the fall of 1992. The motive was personal - on one hand my poor health and on the other my theoretical interest in new and different methods of treatment and prevention .

Georgi Slavov: After reading the book of Lydia Kovatcheva "The healing hunger" several times, I decided that its methodology can help me deal with health issues that I had. In 1992 I met her in person to discuss details of the implementation of fasting and tea-fruit restoring regime on my specific case. She understood that I am a nutritionist and that I have a desire to help people through diet. She suggested that I become her assistant to teach me her experience in healthy and natural nutrition so that this knowledge and practice can reach more people.

2 . What impressed you most about her?

Dr. Georgi Gaydurkov: the simple worldly wisdom and logic of her message and the inner power that she exuded. This is the power of a person who have overcome death. And what does not kill us, as we know, makes us stronger - much as anything else.

Georgi Slavov: The simplicity and ease with which she communicated and helped people, especially those who believed her. As an artist, she managed in a mystical way to penetrate deep into the human mind to perceive and assess the pain and problems of the people and give them valuable, easy and practical tips on how to reach full health. Lydia Kovatcheva rapidly screened people and could understand who came to her only from interest and curiosity and who came to the point. She devoted short time to the first group and hours to the second. Anyone who believed in her achieved very quick results and enjoyed again the natural human health.

3 . What impressed you as a specialist in the treatment system of Lydia Kovatcheva?

Dr. Georgi Gaydurkov: I became acquainted with the treatment system of Lydia Kovatcheva and studied it for 10 years when she and I met hundreds of people who visited her. What impressed me most from the very beginning, was that "this stuff works" more powerful than anything I knew before. This effect I felt first on myself and then I saw the same thing happening with the patients. It was the power of nature awakened in us about which we were not told a word in our long-standing medical training.

Georgi Slavov: The methodology she used was based not so much on what she had read in books of world healers, but rather on her own practice. She dealed with medical terminology with extreme ease and we, her students, who were people of medicine, saw that. Her system was based on the simple and timeless principles of nature that lie within us, but are fast asleep.
Natural nutrition is one of those fundamental principles that we humans do not keep. She simplified to the maximum possible the combinations of food and put emphasis mostly on local, seasonal fresh fruits and vegetables grown in an environmentally friendly way. In this way you do not spend extra energy to break down complex and heavy foods and combinations, and it enables the body to self-regulate through proper health nutrition. She used to say : "If there is actually food that can be taken as a medicine - first place belongs to the fruits."

4. What impact had Lydia Kovatcheva and her treatment system on your practice?

Dr. Georgi Gaydurkov: It changed my life in two respects. First, I was freed from the diseases I was suffering from childhood. Second, professionally, I can say that I changed my profession. From bureaucratic practice, medicine for me has become a profession in its authentic sense of the word. Translated it means belief, dedication. Since that time, I practice what I live.

Georgi Slavov: Lydia Kovatcheva completely changed my idea and practice of healthy, balanced diet. After meeting with her, my practice is based entirely on her methods and principles for natural nutrition. She was close to me and approved my endeavors, encouraged me and this quickly led to the accumulation of experience, incl. as an organizer of the healthy diet center. Lydia Kovatcheva was always very critical of me and my practice. It helped me greatly to enrich and improve the system for healthy nutrition.

5 . How would you define the contribution of Lydia Kovatcheva to health care?

Dr. Georgi Gaydurkov: In terms of the contribution of Lydia Kovatcheva I would say that if her book was included as a textbook in school, the state of the Bulgarian nation in terms of health and spirituality, would be light years ahead. We would return that health which the Bulgarian has had as a reputation in the past - one of the nations with the most centenarians .
Each system is in progress and development. This was the desire of Lydia Kovatcheva herself - doctors to take the relay brought forward. It is also the stake for us, her followers, which are people on the road and we tired and still try to develop this principle in a comprehensive system of health. It acts as life acts and lives within us and awakening of the power of this life is our mission.

Georgi Slavov: Lydia Kovatcheva is world-class natural healer and her contribution is not only for Bulgaria but for the entire world. Her methodology and practice teaches us many simple natural principles of diet and lifestyle, enabling the body to awaken its natural rhythms within itself. Natural nutirtion prescribed by Lydia Kovatcheva is the first and foremost step to restore the natural balance in the body and regain our full health and happiness.
