Modern man has enjoyed numerous technical innovations, facilities, products, services and others which express the prosperity of our developed civilization. But often the modern man is sick.
Growing pharmaceutical industry produces plenty of new and new drugs. It turns out, however, that the abundance of drugs and the large selection of health facilities do not make maintaining good health less challenging. We have so much information and so much choice. But how to achieve physical, mental and emotional health? How to make the first step?
Sometimes our minds are full of so many confused thoughts that do not let us rest day or night. Drugs of modern medicine prove to be powerless and then we are ready to look for an alternative. Very often it is associated with spiritual healing as a way to improve our health and lives.
In essence, spiritual healing is a different perspective on the process of healing. Instead of using external means, such as drugs for treatment, spiritual practitioners use our own energies as an inherent ability of the body to heal itself .
True spiritual healing is using the energy and power of the (sub)consciousness and the soul to achieve deep and noticeable positive effect on all aspects of a person's life.
Spiritual healing and therapy for the treatment of body and soul is used effectively for centuries. It may also be used as adjunct therapy to a conventional treatment to increase its effect.

Some of the most ancient forms of spiritual healing, such as meditation, yoga, deep breathing and reiki are increasingly recommended to patients by their physicians. The application of these spiritual practices can result in a happier existence and better health.
One of the most popular and easy to practice forms of spiritual healing is meditation. It involves clearing the mind and focusing mostly on breathing.
Meditation (from the Latin word meditari or "moved to the center”), as a religious practice has existed for thousands of years, but as a psychotraining - from about half a century. Medha in Sanskrit means "wisdom." Some of the supporters of meditation are convinced that it is beneficial only if done in the right place and with strictly enforced rules. But practice shows that meditation is also a great help for mental health in our busy daily lives.
Meditation can be considered in two broad categories: conscious meditation and meditation with concentration that leads to deep relaxation and calmness.
In conscious meditation, the meditator realizes all his thoughts and feelings, but sees them as remote - no emotion or reaction.
In meditation with concentration, the practitioner focuses on a word or image, clearing all other thoughts from his/her mind, while simultaneously focused on deep, slow breathing.
Both methods give literally "break" to the mind and allow the body to relax completely.
Proponents of meditation often say that stress levels are reduced dramatically, which in turn can lead to an overall improvement in health.
Scientists at Harvard have found that meditation increases blood flow to that part of the brain that controls the conservation of energy, positivism and relaxation. The latter is confirmed by recent studies of brain activity of Tibetan monks during meditation, the studies were conducted with the special assistance of the Dalai Lama.
You can meditate also by :
• Mantra. Mantra is word or phrase in Sanskrit filled with spiritual meaning. This word or phrase is repeated many times in the rhythm of breathing.
• Physical activity. We can focus on the repetition of certain physical exercises: from special postures to elementary walking or running. In dance the trance state is achieved at the expense of rhythmic repetition of movements.
• Viewing image. In Eastern cultures for this meditation is used mandala - a geometric figure (square, inscribed in a circle), symbolizing the unity of man and the universe .
• Breathing. This is one of the most popular types of meditation, which consists in observing intently the flow of air that we inhale or exhale.
There are many types of meditation: through chakras, laughter and crying, dynamic meditation, shavasana, „posture of the dead body", etc., but their practice requires the assistance of a specialist.
The ability to concentrate and calm the mind is achieved gradually. It takes a lot of training to learn to relax completely and for 10-15 minutes to restore our physical and spiritual strength.
If we learn to calm our mind, we will achieve peace and we will increase our resilience to stress and know ourselves in a new light.
